I have a friend who recently had a health challenge and was put to bed rest for a few days. That’s usually manageable, but this situation is not usual. She is the only driver in the household of five, one 11 year old and three under the age of three. There are important matters such as food preparation, feeding and bathing toddlers, etc.
A lady in her congregation asked could she bring a meal and when would be the best time to bring it. My friend being extremely independent and not wanting to put anyone out, started to refuse it. This Christian lady very gently told her:
“Let Christians be Christians…”
I never thought about that side of the equation.
God’s two commands are: Love God and Love Others… so we are to be servants…. then, let Christians be Christians!
